I love woodworking and I enjoy giving new life to old furniture. Recently, I was donated an old wooden children chair. It was worn out and scratched, but looked like it was hand made.
The first step was to sand the chair to remove the old paint and smooth out the surface. This took some time and effort, but it was worth it.
The next step was to fix and retouch the smaller defects. I used wood filler to fill in the cracks and holes. I also glued some loose joints with wood glue and clamped them until they were secure.
The final step was to paint the chair in my son’s favourite color: yellow. I chose a bright and cheerful shade of yellow that matched his room decor.
